So here I am.

At college.

It's pretty crazy, actually...I've been telling Mary (), my roommate, that it doesn't feel so much like college but more like camp. We have a small dorm with our computers and bunked beds, a community bathroom (which is slightly awkward but I've somehow managed to get showers at times when no one else is in there, and our small refridgerator, packed with "heathly snacks", aka chips, pocky, and trail mix.

I had my choir audition today...very nervewrecking. It consisted of sightreading, range tests and vowel vocalization along with a solo excerpt. I was actually slightly dissappointed in the way that I sounded today - not haveng voice lessons all summer really did a toll on my voice. They told me that I sounded pretty and they were "happy to have me here", however, so hopefully that's a good sign for callbacks.

I've been here since Sunday (Mary's been here since last Wednesday doing band camp things, go feel sorry for her, she's tired. :[), and the days have flown by even though I feel like I haven't done much. I got invited to a picnic tonight, but decided to turn it down because I'm having our new friends - Japanese exchange students - over to play Mario Kart and watch Hana Yori Dango.

Anyway, aside from my lame insecurities being at college and feeling slightly alone, small, and awkward, cosplay plans still stand.
We're bringing the exchange girls with us - one of them even cosplays wonderfully herself! - to Afest, and I couldn't be more excited. :] Our skit is going to be really fun, but unfortunately we lost a member and have to rearrange things last minute. I'm sure that it will still turn out wonderfully even with the minor alterations.
